Centre of Physical and Technological Sciences Experimental and Prototyping Laboratories,M-Lab”

The objective of the project “M-Lab Centre for Experimental and Prototyping Laboratories in Physical and Technological Sciences” is to use the updated research, experimental development and innovation (R & I) infrastructure effectively in order to ensure the development of technological — experimental and innovation activities in the directions of smart specialisation. The main result of the project is the reconstruction and adaptation of the trust-controlled building of Kaunas University of Technology (hereinafter — KTU) located at Studentų str. 63A, Kaunas, Kaunas for MTEPI activities and the establishment of the Centre for Experimental and Prototyping Laboratory of Physical and Technological Sciences, M-Lab. 9 thematic scientific groups — experimental labs — sustainable and smart cities — City Systems LAB, sustainable and smart environment for human life — Smartviron LAB, industrial design — D-LAB, E-business models — DBM (Digital Business Models) LAB, individual diet with detoxification function for disease prevention — INDfood LAB, will be located in the centre. telehealth management solutions — Omni LAB, working environment for the promotion of individual well-being and productivity — Sprout LAB, robotic assistants — RobAssits LAB and non-contact human health monitoring — I-med LAB — and creative space for young researchers — Young LAB, simulation laboratory — Smart LAB and prototyping and testing center — ProtoLAB. The aim of the activities of all these scientific groups/experimental laboratories is to cooperate with Lithuanian and foreign business, involving it as early as possible in the development of technologies and prototypes and to minimise the time and path from idea to innovation. The project will also contribute to the training of skilled and creative professionals, who are essential for business and industry.
