The problem of the Jonava area from Chemikos str. at the house from Chemikos str. 98 to 138A is the lack of smooth access to the building Chemikos str. 138A and lack of parking places. The building has a Labor Exchange, sports club, TV, near the building — entertainment valley, ponds, ski track. In the absence of convenient access and parking places to these attractions, visitors are forced to drive in multi-apartment courtyards, leave cars in unauthorised places or in overcrowded courtyards of multi-apartment buildings. This poses a risk to road safety and causes inconvenience to the visitors of these objects and to the residents of multi-apartment buildings. The average annual daily traffic volume in this area is about 977 aut./day. The area is not illuminated, therefore, in case of intense traffic, pedestrians are hard to notice during the darkness of the day, and their safety is at risk. During this project, all the problems listed would be solved: the local road network has been extended and traffic safety measures have been implemented in accordance with the requirements in force. Target groups of the project: Residents of Jonava city and district. The size of the main target group (urban) is about 27 000 inhabitants, while the secondary target groups (non-urban residents) are about 15 000 inhabitants.
