To date, innovative, but early-stage business ideas in Lithuania have not received enough attention. The high degree of risk, the likelihood of return on investment, and the closure of the innovation culture are the disadvantages that close the way to intense economic change. However, it is early stage innovative business ideas that have the potential for radical innovation, developing new products, new business models and even new market segments. The modelling of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Lithuania should reflect not only the environment for the creation of mature innovative businesses, but also the possibilities for the creation and development of early stage innovative business ideas, complementing and balancing all the components of the state innovation support system.
