In part of the city of Jonava there are no stop stops for public transport at all or they do not meet the needs of residents and guests of the city, and some of them do not have bus routes schedules, which makes it difficult for city guests to choose the required bus route. Buses operating in Jonava are old years of production and do not contain the necessary information tools for people with special needs — no screens, audio reporting systems. Pedestrian paths in the city no longer meet today’s needs and are not adapted for comfortable traffic for people with special needs. The cover of existing pedestrian paths is old, degraded, collapsed, lack of markings, leading surfaces and other necessary tools. Urban underdeveloped cycling infrastructure: there are no roofs, garages (storage) for bicycle storage. The activities of this project are planned to address existing challenges by introducing 5 sustainable mobility measures and 2 Intelligent Transport Systems: 1) Installation of informative lights at city stations, together with the acquisition of the necessary equipment to ensure the operation of the illuminants and GPS positioning and transmission of buses, preparing the infrastructure for connecting the lights, restoring the environmental well-being on the spot; 2) Installation of information tools for people with hearing and visual impairment in buses; 3) redesign of existing public transport stations and new installation and introduction of bus stops; 4) overhaul of the bicycle/pedestrian path between Žeimiai tako str. and Kosmonautų str. and at Kosmonautų str. 9 in Jonava, adapting to traffic of people with special needs; 5) overhaul of the path from P. Vaičiūnas str. to Chemikos str. Jonava, adapting to traffic of people with special needs; 6) Cycling sheds installation; 7) Installation of bicycle storage (garage) for bicycle storage.
