UAB CityBee Solutions, founded in 2012, manages the brand CityBee and successfully provides car, bicycle, scooter sharing services in Lithuania, Poland, Latvia and Estonia. UAB “Citybee Solutions” initiates the project “Development of Innovative Automotive Sharing Platform”, during which it intends to significantly improve car sharing technology by introducing additional functionality, which will allow not only to increase the availability and convenience of services for users, but also to lower the service by reducing operating costs. During the project it is planned to carry out research on the development and validation of car sharing technology in laboratory conditions and experimental development for the creation and demonstration of a prototype of car sharing technology in real-life conditions. The result of the project is expected to significantly improve and bring a new product at global level — a car sharing platform — to the market within one year from the end of the project, which will allow for greater accessibility and accessibility of services. This will contribute to reducing the risks posed by urbanisation processes by reducing congestion and C02 emissions from their vehicles and household costs by moving away from own cars and becoming permanent users of car-sharing services.
