JSC “Putokšnis” is a company founded in 1994 and operating in Šiauliai. Currently, UAB Putokšnis is one of the most well-known and reliable manufacturers of PET packaging on the market, especially for its high attention to the quality of the products. The company produces PET preforms for mineral water, carbonated and non-carbonated non-alcoholic beverages, etc. The main customers of UAB Putokšnis products are producers and bottlers of soft and alcoholic beverages. At present, one of the most pressing areas for which special attention is needed is the introduction of non-technological eco-innovations in the company’s activities. In order to ensure the competitiveness of the company in the market, UAB Putokšnis must constantly improve its products (PET blanks), seek to increase production efficiency (i.e. reduce the consumption of raw materials) and at the same time contribute to the promotion of the introduction of environmentally friendly processes in industrial enterprises. During the implementation of the project, it is planned to carry out ecodesign activities, during which PET preforms will be designed in accordance with the foreseen technical specification. The successful implementation of this activity, together with the project, will lead to the development of new products (PET blanks) whose production will significantly reduce the consumption of raw materials and energy.
