Modernisation and development of electricity distribution networks through smart solutions (Phase IV)

The aim of the project is to increase the security and reliability of the electricity distribution network and ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to customers. The goal is to modernise transformers with appurtenances using smart technologies. One activity emerges from the task — the modernisation of transformers with appurtenance by installing the elements of intelligence in them. The need for the project was determined by the following main factors: the ageing of 10-6/0.4 kV transformers, the significant increase in the number of prosumers, the low automated management of the medium-voltage grid, the aim to increase the reliability of the electricity distribution network, energy efficiency, while reducing CO2 effluents. The status of the objects to be reconstructed is different, but it is not suitable for any object and does not meet the requirements of the “modern object”. There are two types of objects to be modernised: simple and complex. During the project, all upgraded objects will have the following 3 intelligences: control monitoring, remote control, short circuit indicator.
