Panevėžys city street lighting system includes 291 city streets, which is equipped with 8147 pcs. supports and 8491 pcs. luminaires. The main problem for which the project is initiated is the inefficient and substandard street lighting infrastructure of Panevėžys city. The aim of the project is to ensure high-quality, efficient and compliant lighting of municipal streets and reduce energy consumption in the street lighting infrastructure. The aim of the project is to: * modernise the street lighting system that will meet the requirements of standards related to street lighting. * save electricity — at least 40 % * reduce greenhouse gas emissions. * reduce operating costs.
