The specific objective of the project was to implement flood risk reduction measures in Radikiai village in order to minimise the negative consequences of climate change and reduce the vulnerability of ecosystems and Kaunas district farm. In order to achieve the objective of the project, one objective has been formulated: install hydrotechnical structures that reduce the risk of flooding in Radikiai village, Kaunas district. The aim of the project will create socio-economic benefits for the municipality of Kaunas district and its residents, as the impact of nature on the property of residents — land plots and buildings will be reduced. Due to the fact that there are collective gardens in Radikiai, the value of Radikiai as a recreational area will increase. It is believed that reducing the risk of flooding will allow gardeners to visit their gardens more often. At the same time, by minimising flood threats, the value of plots and houses will increase, making them more attractive for household and business creation.
