The aim of the project is to implement nature management measures in the European ecological network Natura 2000 sites. _x000D_The activities planned will ensure a favourable conservation status for natural habitats and species of European Community interest and other protected nature values._x000D_The requirements of Council Directive 92/43/EEC of 21 May 1992 on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora and Directive 2009/147/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on the conservation of wild birds oblige the Member States to carry out the relevant management work. in order to ensure a favourable conservation status of species and natural habitats of European Community interest._x000D_The project envisages the management of 13 Natura 2000 sites or parts thereof (Minkūnai peatland, Svirplinė swamp, Valle of the Salt River, Long Ward, the Curonian Lagoon coast, Lake Kretuonykščio and its surroundings, Lake Mošis, welding-Pakalniai swamp, Notigala swamp, Rėyva swamp, Pakėvis forest, Šimšai forest, Užpelkiai swamp (including hydrological reconstruction works in part of the territories), prepare technical projects for the restoration of 1 hydrological regime.
