The main objective of this project proposal is the reconstruction of road II-86 Plovdiv — Asenovgrad from km 14+ 860 to km 25+ 150, improving the technical and operational characteristics of the section, through the construction of a second lane for movement and the rehabilitation of the existing right lane. The implementation of the project will lead to: increasing the mobility of the population, increasing investment in the region, creating new jobs, improving the state of the environment by reducing the emission of harmful greenhouse gas emissions and the possibility of more choice to health and educational services of the local population, as well as stimulating the development of tourism. The reconstruction of road II-86 will meet the needs of the population of the South-Central region of Bulgaria, especially the residents of Plovdiv district, as well as transit through the region. The main activities that are set for the successful implementation of the project are:- Establishment of a project management team to manage and coordinate all activities — Choosing a contractor for carrying out construction works, signing a contract with it and carrying out the reconstruction of the site;- Selection of a contractor for construction supervision of the project, signing a contract with it and carrying out consulting services;- Signing a contract for author’s supervision with the road designer and carrying out author’s supervision of the project;- Implementation of project audit by a certified auditor;- Selection of contractor of information and publicity of the project, signing of a contract with him and execution of information and publicity of the project;- Introduction of the site into operation, verification of costs and reporting of the results achieved;
