The main objective of this project proposal is the rehabilitation of road III-507 Kardzhali-Monastery from km 0+ 055 to km 26+ 109, with a length of 26.054 km. By improving and modernising the technical and operational characteristics of the road section, uniformity of the road surface will be achieved, conditions of traffic safety and comfort for travellers will be ensured. The improved conditions for crossing the road section will have a beneficial impact on the target groups of this project and the final beneficiaries — the population of Kardzhali district. The implementation of the activities envisaged under this project will contribute to improving the quality of life and working environment, as well as providing new opportunities to increase the competitive capacity in the region. The rehabilitated road section of road III-507 will improve the accessibility of the TEN-T network to freight and passengers within the region, which will also achieve the objective of the current grant scheme. The main activities set for the successful implementation of the project are: — Formation of a project management team to manage and coordinate all activities and participants in the implementation of the investment proposal; — Selection of a contractor for carrying out construction works, signing a contract with him and carrying out rehabilitation of the site; — Selection of the contractor of construction supervision (Consultant) of the project, signing a contract with it and providing consulting services; — Carrying out author’s supervision of the site; — Carrying out an audit of the project by a certified auditor; — Selection of contractor of information and publicity of the project, signing of a contract with it and execution of information and publicity of the project; — Commissioning of the site; —Verification of expenditure and reporting on the results achieved.
