The main result to be achieved with the realisation of the project is a rehabilitated section of road II-23 with a length of 21.520 km. Road II-23 serves the district of Ruse and connects the municipality of Ruse with the Ruse district centre, as well as a connection to road I-2 and road I-7. With the improvement of the transport and operational qualities of the road section, road safety and comfort will be ensured for the travelling residents of the villages of Cherven voda and Novo Selo to the towns of Ruse and Kubrat and will be extended the service life of the road. The improved conditions for the passage of the section will have a favourable impact on the target groups of this project and the final beneficiaries — the population of Ruse region, the municipalities of Ruse and Kubrat, will contribute to improving the quality of life and the working environment, providing new opportunities to increase the region’s competitive capacity and accessibility to the TEN-T network of freight and passengers within the region, which achieves the objective of the current grant scheme.
