Accept me 2015

This operation complements and builds on Operation Accept Me, financed under OP HRD 2007-2013, which contributed to the national implementation of a new approach to the provision of the foster care service, as well as to expanding the possibilities for developing the service in a decentralised way. The operation aims at improving and expanding the scope of the foster care service and consolidating its provision at local level as an alternative form for raising children at risk in a family environment and contains an innovative element in terms of support aimed at developing “specialised foster care” for children with disabilities; children, victims of violence or trafficking; children, unaccompanied refugees, as well as measures aimed at improving the quality of foster care through monitoring. A special focus will be placed on the placement of children up to 3 years of age.The established and now active in the project “I have a family” foster parents can move to the project “Accept Me 2015” with a view to ensuring the interest of the accommodated children in foster families, preventing the possibility of terminating the placement, confirmed by the court of these children and falling back into a specialised institution for children. The new project will strengthen the provision of the service at local level as an alternative form for raising children at risk in a family environment in the municipalities included in the project “I have a family”, as well as in other municipalities in which the social service “host care” is developed. The project specification requires the involvement of different entities in the organisation and management with the implementation of an innovative model of interaction, with regard to the planning and delivery of the social service “host care” in a decentralised way through a clear allocation of responsibilities between the ASA and the partner municipalities, with the active participation of non-governmental organisations at all stages of the implementation of the project activities.
