The production activity of Biovet JSC is carried out in 3 places in Bulgaria. On each of them are separate production sites, each with its own power supply and energy accounting. This project covers the activities of sites on the Razgrad site, where about 46 million kWh of energy is consumed annually to ensure the production process. The cooling system, part of our production installation, is highly depreciated, with high energy consumption and insufficient productivity to provide the necessary production capacity. Due to the increasing demand for our products, we are constantly increasing the total quantity produced while looking for ways to ensure energy-efficient production, especially in terms of energy consumption per unit of product. An energy audit has been carried out to provide recommendations for optimal achievement of the planned results. On the basis of the identified energy saving measures, the following investments will be made:- replacement of the old depreciated cooling system with a new one using modern technologies and highly efficient in terms of both capacity and energy consumption — commissioning of waste energy recovery system for own needs. These are initial investments in FTA for measures to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs for production needs at our production sites in Razgrad within 12 months. The implementation of the project will significantly increase the competitiveness of the company, as our total production capacity in terms of manufacturing of substances for medicinal products will be increased and energy savings of 4 million kwh/year will be achieved, equivalent to a reduction of 8.9 % for this production process.
