This project proposal is aimed at the purchase and commissioning of 1 automatic sheet die machine and 1 folding and adhesive machine. The purchase and commissioning of the new machinery will overcome serious problems in the production process related to limited order-taking capacity of new customers in the pharmaceutical industry and, in particular, the production of medicine packaging for these customers. At this point in time, the applicant cannot conclude new contracts with large companies in this industry as it is unable to produce the required volumes. The constraints in the production process are caused by insufficient technological security in the finalisation unit. While the first two units of the production cycle related to pre-printing and printing are distinguished by high-tech and high-performance equipment, the finalisation unit has two dies, one of which is depreciated and one folding-stick machine, which cannot absorb the production coming from the previous units of the production process. The intended for purchase punching machine will replace the old one, and the new folding-stick machine will complement the capacity of the available one. The new machines are high-tech, automated and extremely precise, which will inevitably lead to an increase in productivity by more than 15 %, an increase in the average generated export earnings from the investment by more than 25 %, due to the possibility of taking new orders from foreign customers, as well as increasing the efficiency of production costs by more than 16 %, due to improved resource efficiency and a reduction in the cost of packaging. Once the new punch machine is put into operation, the old one will be used to stifle other groups of products produced by Danube press other than packaging, which will further increase the capacity of the applicant and optimise the production processes.
