The general and main objective of the project proposal of ECOVAT-BULGARIA Ltd. is: Expanding the capacity of the existing establishment and increasing the energy efficiency in the enterprise, thus achieving competitiveness and sustainable market presence. This objective will be achieved by carrying out the following activities: • an energy efficiency audit (energy audit); • replacement of obsolete production equipment, the most energy-intensive consumer in the activity of ECOVAT-BULGARIA EOOD, investing in the following new equipment:- Mini chain excavator;- Chain excavator;- Combined excavator — loader with recycling bucket;- Dumper with three-way unloading; • implementation and certification of the Energy Resources Management System BDS EN ISO 50001; • introduction of an automated system for monitoring energy consumption; An appropriate information campaign set out in the activities of the project will promote the ERDF’s financial support to achieve the objectives and results of the project. This will also ensure transparency in the implementation of the activities and the selection of contractors. With the successful implementation of the activities set out in the project ECOVAT-BULGARIA EOOD will achieve the following: — a 67 % increase in productivity in the enterprise compared to 2015;- planned energy savings for the whole enterprise (PES) — 71.25 %; — the energy savings for the specific production process (breakdown, warehousing and alignment) are equivalent to 234 774 kWh/year and the total savings factor (ESR) is 72.54 %. — energy consumption per unit of product will decrease by 18.02 kWh/m³. — emissions saved (CO2) amount to 62.68 t/year. The actions of the management of ECOVAT-BULGARIA EOOD meet the priorities and objectives set in axis 3 “Energy and resource efficiency” and investment priority 3.1 “Energy technologies and energy efficiency”.
