In accordance with the CTC and pursuant to Article 4(1)(6) of its Rules of Procedure, the Maritime Administration Executive Agency (IAMA) organises and coordinates the search and rescue activities of persons, ships and aircraft in the Bulgarian Maritime Responsible Search and Rescue Region (BMORTS) among other functions. With a view to improving the safety and security of transport in the Black Sea, the EAMA project proposal provides for the development and implementation of an Integrated Information System (ICS) for real-time coordination and management of disaster and accident operations in BMORTS. The implementation of the project will facilitate and accelerate access to different categories of information needed for analysis, planning, coordination and management of the actions of the institutions involved in emergency and rescue activities at sea and combating pollution/liquidation of oil spills. The main objective of the project is the development and implementation of an Integrated Information System for real-time coordination and management of disaster and accident operations in BMORTS. The project includes the following activities: (1) Business analysis and preparation of a system project of Integrated Information System for real-time coordination and management of disaster operations in BMORTS; (2) Development of specialised software of Integrated Information System in laboratory and test environment, preparation of system and user documentation;(3) Supply and installation of hardware equipment;(4) Implementation of specialised software of the Integrated Information System and training of users to work with it;(5) Introduction of the Integrated Information System into operation;(6) Information and communication;(7) Project management.The time period of implementation of the project proposal is 39 months.
