The Maritime Administration Executive Agency is a legal entity with budget support attached to the Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, based in Sofia. The Agency’s territorial competence is implemented through its regional directorates in Varna, Burgas, Ruse and Lom with regard to ports, activities to ensure safety and security of shipping, protection of the environment from ship pollution. The Agency carries out the search and rescue activities in the Bulgarian maritime responsible region for search and rescue and in the inland waterways of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Directorate-General for Emergency and Rescue Activities with territorial units in Varna, Burgas and Ruse.In connection with the territorial distribution of the functions of the EAMA, the implementation of the project will be structured into three activities:- Activity 1: “Organising and conducting 15 specialised trainings for staff from the Maritime Administration — Varna Directorate and the Directorate General "Emergency and Rescue Activities" — Department "Sea Rescue and Coordination Centre" — Varna and "Rescue Relief — Black Sea" Department — Varna;- Activity 2: “Organising and conducting 14 specialised trainings for staff from the Maritime Administration — Burgas Directorate and the Directorate General "Emergency and Rescue Activities" — Department "Rescue funds — Black Sea" — Burgas. — Activity 3: “Organising and conducting 6 specialised trainings for employees from the River Supervision Directorate — Ruse, the River Supervision Directorate — Lom” and the Directorate General “Emergency and Rescue Activities” — Department of Emergency and Rescue Activities — Danube River.
