An innovative, high-tech and modern center of competence in the field of personalised medicine, telemedicine, 3D medicine, robotic and minimally invasive surgery will be established to achieve excellence in research and training of specialists to increase the competitiveness of existing enterprises and stimulate entrepreneurship in the region and the country. In the next 10 years, the center will operate on the basis of high-tech and specialised pro-innovative infrastructure. including equipment and specialised software enabling research and development, transfer of new knowledge and technologies, training of students, graduate students, PhD students and other clinical specialists in the target areas: General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, Pathology, Medical Genetics, etc. The Center should continue the mission of the partners by offering innovative, attractive and modern training, but also to expand the opportunities, quality and form of the offered training and research activities. The services supporting access to new knowledge are based on the use of the experience gained by specialists working at the main project partners of the Medical University — Pleven, Medical University — Varna and the Institute of Systemic Engineering and Robotics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. For the implementation of part of the activities of the project will be used free of charge the human resources and infrastructure of the associated partners. The center will enter into cooperation with leading European and global technological partners, which will increase the efficiency of its work, and hence the financial sustainability after the completion of the project. Contribute to increasing the number of innovative products, processes and services developed and successfully implemented in the scientific field by the Centre.
