The aim of the project is to align the scope and frequency of monitoring of drinking water quality carried out by the authorities of the State Health Control in full compliance with the requirements of European and national legislation. The project will provide equipment for laboratories from the State Health Control System to monitor drinking water quality in response to the recommendations for Bulgaria from the European Commission’s Synthesis Report of 16 June 2014 on the quality of drinking water in the European Union examining Member States’ reports for the period 2008-2010 provided under Council Directive 98/83/EC of 3 November 1998 on the quality of water intended for human consumption (EC Report (COM(2014) 363 final).The project will improve the capabilities of laboratories from the State Health Control system by extending the scope and enhancement of the technical capacity to analyse the quality of water intended for human consumption (EC Report) (COM(2014) 363 final).The project will contribute to the full performance of the quality assurance and the national quality metrics, the AAs will contribute to the full implementation of the quality of the national quality assurance and the national quality indicators. ‘Improving the assessment of water status’.
