The project aims at providing higher quality and better access to education for children and pupils with special educational needs, with chronic diseases, at risk and with outstanding gifts in the system of pre-school and school education by providing additional support for personal development that provides adequate physical, psychological and social environment for the development of their abilities and skills, in accordance with the regulatory requirements and policies for education reform. To select 220 kindergartens and 430 schools to be included in the project, the Ministry of Education and Science has developed a mechanism that includes objective requirements for the selection of kindergartens, schools to a basic level of education. Kindergartens and schools, which will be included in the project, will be approved by order of the Minister of Education and Science. For the purpose of the implementation of the project, the specific beneficiary will update an information system for management and reporting under the project “Active inclusion in the system of pre-school education”.In order to minimise the risk of duplication of activities, costs and inclusion of the same persons from the target groups in identical activities, financed simultaneously under different projects, demarcation with the following projects will be carried out: — BG051OP001-4.1.07 “Inclusive training” under Operational Programme “Human Resources Development” 2007-2013; — BG05M2OP001-3.003 ‘Ensuring conditions and resources for building and developing supportive environments in kindergartens and schools for implementation of inclusive training — Phase 1’ under OPSESG; — BG05M2OP001-3.005 ‘Active inclusion in the system of pre-school education’ under OPSESG;- BG05M2OP001-2.010 ‘Qualification of pedagogical specialists’.
