The development of River Basin Management Plans for 2022-2027 includes carrying out studies, assessments, analyses and developments, including methodologies, approaches and criteria necessary to meet the requirements of European and national legislation, fill gaps and implement the recommendations of the European Commission in the assessment of the first and second RBMPs, including:- Update of the characteristics of surface and groundwater bodies and water protection zones;- Economic analysis of water use;- Update of the assessment of pressures, impacts and risks on water bodies and water protection areas;- Assessment of the status of water bodies and water protection areas, including assessment of the effect of implemented measures, planning of monitoring networks and programmes, setting targets and exemptions;- Assessment of impacts of climate change, including on ecosystems and water protection areas, environmental objectives, exceptions to their achievement and programmes of measures;- Update of the Catalogue of measures and quantification of new measures;- Update programmes of measures, analysis of their cost-effectiveness and development of national programmes for their implementation;- Development of methodologies, approaches and support tools for the development of RBMPs and water management, including models;- Development of draft RBMPs; environmental assessment of the draft RBMPs 2022-2027;-Cross-border coordination in the development of RBMPs with neighbouring countries;-Consultations with stakeholders and the general public at each stage of the development of the RBMPs (Schedule and work programme for the development of RBMPs, mid-term review of significant problems and draft RBMPs) and in the environmental assessment procedure;- Reflecting or motivating the proposals not accepted from the consultations and preparation of the RBMPs for adoption by the Council of Ministers;
