Enhancing the capacity of SMEs in the tourism sector by supporting the establishment and operation of the Tourism Region Management Organisations

The tourist region in the country aims to fill the gap in the management and marketing of destinations between the local and the national level; pooling resources and coordinating action between stakeholders to develop a more competitive tourism product on the world market; reaching out to potential markets; presenting and imposing on the national and external markets specific products and services for each region and attracting new market segments.SME in the tourism sector need support to strengthen their capacity to exit and enforce within the regional, national and international markets.The project groups are SMEs in the field of tourism, associations and business associations, which are related to the implementation of activities and the provision of business support services and improvement of the business environment in the field of tourism. The overall objective of the project proposal is to increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises for sustainable development of tourism through institutional support of the OTC and SMEs in the different tourist areas. Expected results:-Built and functioning 9 OUTS;-Built, equipped and functioning 9 offices for the 9 OUTS;-Developed strategic documents for the development of tourist areas — 22 (1pcs. Methodology for the organisation of the work of all OUTS, 1 pcs. program for capacity development of OTC, 9 marketing studies and surveys of the tourist flow; 9 marketing strategies for each OTC; one communication plan and one selection criteria among SMEs and their associations for participation in international tourism fairs and exhibitions.)-Participation of SMEs in international exchanges, tourist events and exhibitions, B2B meetings, forums, etc. — the development and delivery of up to 180,000 promotional brochures/diplins — delivery of up to 18 000 branded USB sticks — production of 27 promotional video clips
