The project proposal is designed to contribute to the implementation of the Integrated Plan for Urban Reconstruction and Development of the town of Blagoevgrad and is part of the Investment Programme of the Municipality of Blagoevgrad. It provides for the creation and provision of a modern, functional, healthy, energy-efficient and accessible environment of the educational infrastructure in Blagoevgrad, which will be implemented through the renovation, renovation and modernisation of four sites, as well as the construction of two new buildings and a retaining wall to one of them, to two of the sites foreseen for intervention. The project includes three schools — National Humanitarian High School (NHG) "St. St. St. Cyril and Methodius, Third Primary School (Third Primary School) “Dimitar Talev” and Fifth Secondary School (Fifth High School) “Georgi Izmirliev”, as well as a kindergarten — Children’s Garden (SG) No 8 “Vechernitsa”. To the National Art Gallery "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" will be built a gymnasium and a retaining wall to it, as well as a new building for full day care of children at the State Directorate. In addition, three playgrounds will be moved to Vecernitsa Directorate No 8 and one new playground will be built. In the main building of the kindergarten, new appliances will be delivered and installed in the kitchen and washing machine, as well as the furniture in the kindergarten and bedrooms will be replaced. The sites foreseen for intervention are one of the most important educational institutions in the Municipality of Blagoevgrad and the renovation of their material and technical base will lead to an overall improvement of the educational process, will facilitate the introduction of new methods of training that will increase and retain the interest of children and students and will positively affect their motivation for acquiring knowledge and skills. Through the implementation of the project, students and children will be provided with building stock with aesthetic, attractive and accessible learning environment through the installation of access devices for children and students with disabilities, which will improve the quality of the working environment in educational institutions.
