Urban regeneration in Northern Industrial Zone and Southern Industrial Zone

The present project proposal falls within the scope of the area with potential for economic development, and the envisaged activities are selected and united on the basis of an integrated territorial approach, which aims to permanently improve the infrastructure in industrial areas and business parks, using the existing potential and meet identified needs in the socio-economic analysis of the Burgas 2014-2020 IHLG. Krayezerna Street is one of the main streets serving the area with potential for economic development of Burgas. It is located in the western part of the North Industrial Zone and is essential for access to a number of production plants and companies on the territory of the SPA and Industrial and Logistics Park Burgas AD. The street is in poor condition, there are cracks, holes, wear and tear, and the technical infrastructure is incomplete and/or depreciated, which is a reason for reduced investment activity in this part of the area, because it does not offer the right conditions for the development of business initiatives. With the construction of a road junction West Krayezerna Street becomes a key for the connection between international roads and access to important logistics sites such as the port of West, Bourgas airport, industrial and industrial zones, and the gauges of the street are not able to absorb the expected intensive traffic. With the reconstruction and expansion of Kraeserna Str. and improvement of the infrastructure is aimed at creating conditions for attracting new investments, increasing the economic potential and investment activity in Burgas. The improvement of the physical environment and the removal of traffic from the city core of Burgas aims to improve the environmental environment and improve the quality of life of the citizens of Burgas. Improving the business environment will lead to an increase in foreign and local direct investments, and with the removal of transit traffic will improve the environmental performance by reducing congestion, road accidents, noise and air emissions.
