This project proposal aims to provide conditions for the creation of a new type of social service to support children with disabilities and their families. According to the map of support services in the community and in a family environment, the municipality of Byala Slatina has identified a need to create a new social service, namely “Day Center for Support of Children with Disabilities and their Families”. The project for the construction of the Day Care Centre will provide the necessary infrastructure for services for children with disabilities, and the project will support the renovation of the building, the reconstruction of the premises, as well as the furniture/equipment related to the quality provision of the social service. With the implementation of the project will provide adequate facilities, will create premises that will respond functionally to the needs of the representatives of the target group — children and young people with disabilities and their families. The main objective of the project is to provide adequate and effective social infrastructure, ensuring access to a new type of service for children and young people with disabilities and quality care in the community. It will be achieved through the implementation of several specific objectives aimed at ring-fencing and modernising existing infrastructure to ensure social inclusion and equal access to a new community support service. In the implementation of the project the following results are expected to be achieved:- provided conditions for quality care for children and young people with disabilities on the territory of the municipality of Byala Slatina;- created a new type of social service to support children and young people with disabilities in the community; — promoting better inclusion and social inclusion in all aspects of life. The main activities of the project are:- Organisation and management;- Information and communication;- Reconstruction and renovation of buildings for building a day-to-day center for support of children with disabilities and their families;- Supply of equipment and furniture.
