The project proposal is aimed at building social housing in the city of Varna, which will create a prerequisite for affordable accommodation, modern and adequate housing conditions for people in disadvantaged and vulnerable situations. When building this type of housing, the rule of ensuring spatial integration of representatives of marginalised communities in general and not contributing to their segregation, isolation and exclusion is respected. The results to be achieved by the project activities are: built 10 social housing with a capacity of 34 persons — one-family housing; 2 residences for a two-member family, one with disabilities; 3 dwellings for a family of three; 2 dwellings for a family of four; 2 dwellings for a family of five or six. Each apartment consists of a living room, the required number of bedrooms and the corresponding sanitary facilities in compliance with the current regulations and will be fully furnished and equipped premises. The property will be developed, independent approaches and entrances to the property will be provided, the necessary parking will be provided, a recreation area and/or sports activities will be provided. An accessible built environment for the users of the service will be provided. The newly built buildings will have a minimum class “B” of energy consumption. The quality of life of vulnerable groups of the municipality of Varna will be improved, conditions will be created for their full realisation, reduction of poverty and promotion of social inclusion. The groups directly influenced by the results of the project are homeless people and/or those living in very poor living conditions; large families; parents with children with ill health and disabilities; people at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
