The implementation of the Procedure for Direct Grants BG05M9OP001-2.004 “Services for Early Childhood Development” in Veliko Tarnovo Municipality will allow to build on the results achieved under the Project “Investment in Early Childhood — Guarantee for the Welfare of Children and Families in Veliko Tarnovo Municipality” within the framework of the Project for Social Inclusion of MLSP, financed by loans from the World Bank. This project proposal aims at providing integrated early childhood development services aimed at children from 0-7 years of age from vulnerable groups, including children with disabilities and their families, as well as future parents. Integrated social, health and educational services will be provided in the project “Investment in Early Childhood — Guarantee for the well-being of children and families in Veliko Tarnovo Municipality”, Community Center for Children and Families in Veliko Tarnovo 24 Bulgaria Blvd./former Pioneer House/. For the provision of integrated early childhood development services, specialists will be appointed and recruited in the following areas: social activities, health and education. The implementation of the project will improve the overall well-being of children through: •Enhancing the health culture, skills and habits of parents from the target groups; • Receiving qualified support for the development of children with disabilities; • Improving the interaction and interinstitutional cooperation at local level to work with the target groups.The main activities of the project are: Early intervention of disability; Individual pedagogical support for children with disabilities; Formation and development of parental skills, family counselling and support; Children’s health counselling; Increasing the school readiness of children for equal school start; Family center for children from 0-3 years.
