This project proposal is a response to the modern processes in our society and the challenges faced by the modern regional economic policy led by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo. Small and medium-sized enterprises located in the Western Industrial Zone are the backbone of the local economy. They provide a significant share of all jobs on the territory of the municipality and, in combination with entrepreneurship, are a key factor in achieving accelerated and sustainable economic growth and the development of a knowledge-based and information society economy in order to reach the average levels of development of similar local and regional authorities in the country or in the EU. In order to achieve sustainable integrated development in the area of LULUCF, it is necessary to have an environment and realise the internal potential of LULUCF. it consists of taking care of the available fund, modernising the technical infrastructure, developing existing enterprises in the area, stimulating the establishment of new ones, as well as increasing the stimulation of their successors. Modernisation of the elements of the technical infrastructure is the factor that must meet the above-mentioned modern requirements and is at the same time consistent with the dynamics of these processes and facilitates their implementation and multiplication. The modern business environment is also a prerequisite for attracting tourists and new investors. This requires the industrial area itself to carry safety and security, to comply with environmental standards of life, to be sustainable in time and to be of high aesthetic quality. On this basis, the selection of project activities is prompted by:* the need to achieve a modern industrial area in which the conditions are favourable to the enterprises within its scope, through synergies and added value in cooperation and regional governance processes; * the need to achieve a secure and safe public environment.
