The indicative month is the conclusion of the ADBF — March 2020. The draft proposal for receiving grants under procedure BG16M1OP002-2.010 ‘Remediation of landfills subject to infringement of EU law in Case C-145/14’ under Operational Programme ‘Environment 2014-2020’ is a significant contribution to the fulfilment of Bulgaria’s obligations under infringement of EU law in connection with the judgment of the Court of Justice of the European Union of 16 July 2015 in Case C-145/14. The implementation of the project is aimed at taking measures to improve the management of municipal waste in accordance with the National Waste Management Programme (2014-2020) and the Regional Waste Management Programme of the Pazardzhik Region — 2016-2020. Sustainable management of household waste will be achieved through investment in the implementation of the measures set out in the investment project to close and recultivate a municipal landfill for household waste in the land of Velingrad, Repovitsa area Velingrad. With the implementation of the project under consideration, closure and recultivation of the landfill will be carried out, after which the site can be used for other purposes by the Municipality of Velingrad.
