SOCIO-ECONOMIC INTEGRATION OF VULNERABLE GROUPS AND INTEGRATED MEASURES TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO EDUCATION IN VELINGRAD MUNICIPALITY

This project will be implemented on the territory of the municipality of Velingrad and will work together a municipality, partners and associated partners. It implements the municipal plan for integration policies and is linked to the main strategic objectives of state policies regarding target groups/representatives of vulnerable groups, people at risk and/or victims of discrimination, people living in territories, including rural and isolated areas, parts of settlements where there is a concentration of problems creating a risk of poverty, social exclusion and marginalisation/- improving living standards by informing them, their inclusion in the labour market, measures enhancing health culture, inclusive education, overcoming their isolation through active social behaviour and showing tolerance on the part of civil society, thus directly corresponding to the objectives of OPHRD and OPSESG.The activities foreseen under OPHRD are under Headings I, II, III and IV of the conditions for application;The activities foreseen under OPSESG are related to additional activities with students at risk of dropping out of school from ethnic minorities; Improving the educational environment in kindergartens and schools outside Roma neighborhoods in cities where children and students from ethnic minorities are educated; Encouraging the participation of parents in the educational process; Working with parents regardless of their ethnic background to explain the benefits of educational integration and acceptance of the difference; Overcoming negative public attitudes based on ethnic origin and cultural identity.
