This project is included in the list of project fiches approved by the Working Group for Project Ideas with minutes of 27.09.2019 under Priority Axis 1 — Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development of Operational Programme Regions in Growth, procedure BG16RFOP001-1.010 — Implementation of Integrated Plans for Urban Reconstruction and Development 2014-2020-Vidin. The project falls into the area with public functions of high public importance of the IHLG of the town of Vidin. Within the project in Vidin will be provided modern social infrastructure through the construction of social housing, in which representatives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people will be accommodated. Adjacent spaces will be rehabilitated and an accessible environment for persons with disabilities will be built. The built dwellings will offer modern and adequate living conditions. The physical location of construction will ensure spatial integration of marginalised groups into society. 37 social housing units will be built as a result of the project implementation. Each apartment consists of a living room, the required number of bedrooms and the corresponding sanitary facilities in compliance with the current regulations and will be fully furnished and equipped premises. The property will be developed, independent approaches and entrances to the property will be provided, a recreation area and/or sports activities will be provided. An accessible built environment for the users of the service will be provided. The newly built sites will have a minimum class “C” of energy consumption. The quality of life of vulnerable groups in Vidin municipality will be improved and conditions will be created for their full realisation, poverty reduction and social inclusion and participation in the life of the municipality. The groups directly influenced by the results of the project are homeless people and/or those living in very poor living conditions; large families; parents with children with ill health and disabilities; people at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
