This project is included in the list of indicative main projects of the approved under Priority Axis 1 — “Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development” of Operational Programme “Regions in Growth”, procedure BG16RFOP001-1.010 — “Implementation of Integrated Plans for Urban Reconstruction and Development 2014-2020-Vidin”. Within the project for the administrative building of Vidin Municipality, measures will be taken and implemented to improve its energy efficiency and measures related to improving access for people with disabilities, in accordance with the requirements of Regulation No 4/01.07.2009 and other measures provided for in the technical passport of the building. The necessary energy saving measures for the building are reflected in an EE audit report accompanied by a valid energy performance certificate made by a licensed person. Mandatory and recommended measures foreseen in the Technical Passport of the building will be implemented. The measures aim at raising the class of energy consumption, increasing energy savings and providing an accessible environment for disadvantaged people. The building under intervention is in poor technical condition. The building was built in 1970 and since then no major renovations have been done. As a result of the implementation of the project in the administrative building of Vidin Municipality will create better working conditions for the employees of the building and better conditions for the visitors of the building, namely 45 582 residents of the town of Vidin (most of them use the services of the municipal administration). The reconstructed building will meet the modern requirements for administrative buildings. It will reduce annual primary energy consumption, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve the external appearance not only of the building but also of the central urban area where it is situated.
