This project aims to improve the state of the educational infrastructure in Gabrovo Municipality through the introduction of energy efficiency measures and the renovation of the facilities in two municipal educational institutions, which will lead to an improvement of the learning process as a whole. It is planned to introduce all necessary energy-saving measures in the buildings of the schools "St. St. John’s Day. Cyril and Methodius" and "Vasil Levski", construction of accessible architectural environment, repair of the premises, overhaul of existing installations and construction of new ones (fire alarm, video surveillance system, etc.), as well as development of adjacent yard areas. Through the increased attractiveness of the school environment, apart from a place to acquire specific knowledge of the subjects included in the compulsory curriculum, the school will be able to become a natural environment for pupils, a sought-after and desired territory, a place for social communication, personal building and expression. It is crucial to contribute to the prevention of school drop-out of school-age pupils, which has real dimensions in the measures taken. Given that these are mainly students from ethnic minorities/students from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, the improved environment will be an additional motivational incentive for inclusion, inclusion and successful socialisation. The renewal of the facilities of the educational infrastructure will lead to an overall improvement of the learning process, will facilitate the introduction of new learning methods that will increase and retain the interest of the students and will beneficially affect their motivation for better activity in acquiring their knowledge and realisation on the labour market.
