The project proposal provides for the establishment of a “Centre for hourly provision of services in the home environment”, which will function as a municipal enterprise. By implementing this project, the municipality will improve access to social services for people with disabilities and people over 65 years old, incapable of self-service by improving their quality of life. The project activities will build on the created “Services Unit in Home Environment” at Home Social Patronage, financed under OP HRD under the scheme “Home help”. The Centre will provide three types of hourly social services — personal assistance, utility and social support. The services are scheduled to be provided within 18 months, covering at least 100 users of hourly social services in the home environment in the majority of the municipal centre and the adjacent settlements of the municipality, which are 41 in number. The project will select staff for the provision of daily part-time social services — personal assistants, social assistants, domestic workers. Psychological, social and health support is envisaged by a psychologist, a social worker and a nurse for social activities on the basis of individual assessments of the needs of hourly social services in the home environment. The project activities will achieve the objectives for access to services of the target groups, overcoming the consequences of their social exclusion and poverty, improving their quality of life.
