In 2015, the Municipality of Dobrich launched the provision of integrated services, protected under Project “Community Center for Children and Families”, funded by the project “Social Inclusion” of MLSP, in support of children and families from risk groups. With the implementation of this project proposal: we will complement and support the activity of successfully provided services for early childhood development; we will ensure their sustainability; we will also develop the service “Family Center for Children” from 0-3 years old, which allows for part-time care due to the limited capacity of the revealed nursery group in the neighborhood and the remoteness of the other nurseries in the city. The services that the municipality will develop are: Early intervention of disability; Individual pedagogical support for children with disabilities; Providing psychological support and counselling to future and present parents for the formation and development of parental skills, family counseling and support and individual and group work with children and parents, including children and parents who are not from vulnerable groups, in order to attend kindergarten; Support to provide child health counselling and disease prevention activities; Additional pedagogical training to increase the school readiness of children for an equal start in school; Family center for children from 0 to 3 years; Management and operation of services in a Community Centre for Children and Families. Through the provision of integrated services, support will be provided to early childhood children and their families in improving access to health care, shaping parental skills, improving the family environment, increasing children’s school readiness for inclusion in the education system, as well as preventing children from being placed in specialised institutions. The project will be managed by a team designated by order of the Mayor of the Municipality, will provide conditions for the functioning of the services and the execution of the remaining activities under the Project.
