The project “Integrated urban transport of the city of Kazanlak — Stage 2” aims to create the right environment for sustainable development and urban mobility, through the construction/renewal of infrastructure, in support of the implementation of low-carbon strategies for urban development. The measures foreseen in the “Integrated Urban Transport of the town of Kazanlak-Stage 1” will be upgraded by improving the transport services and infrastructure of the town of Kazanlak. The project envisages 3 main components as the most favourable and synergistic effect of its implementation, as follows: rehabilitation and creation of an alternative mode of transport on the main boulevard in the city (Nikola Petkov Blvd.); the introduction of an integrated ticketing system; upgrade of an information system for urban transport management. Through measures and investments in transport infrastructure, the project contributes to improving the environment, improving the quality of life in the town of Kazanlak, by creating conditions for increasing the attractiveness of public and cycling transport, as well as pedestrian access in the town of Kazanlak.
