This project proposal supports the process of deinstitutionalisation of child care and guarantees the right of every child and young person to access quality care and service in the community, according to their individual needs, through the provision of the social service Day center for support of children and young people with severe multiple disabilities and their families on the territory of Kazanlak Municipality. The implementation of the project will ensure the provision of the social service, the infrastructure of which is built with the financial support under the Operational Programme “Regions in Growth” 2014-2020. The provision of the new social service is in line with the priorities, objectives and measures set out in the developed service maps (Map of support services in the community and family environment and the map of resident services) of the updated Action Plan for the implementation of the National Strategy “Vision for deinstitutionalisation of children in the Republic of Bulgaria”. The social service will be provided with a capacity of 30 places for daily care and 60 counselling for the representatives of the target group of children and young people with severe multiple disabilities and their families. The Centre will provide full-time hourly services in a specialised environment, namely: information and counselling, daily care, therapy and rehabilitation, skills training, support for the acquisition of labor skills, etc., according to the individual needs of the users, Selection of staff, provision of consumables, materials and necessary fixed tangible assets. The project will be implemented within the framework of an associated partnership with those involved in the process of deinstitutionalisation with the following institutions — Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Health, State Agency for Child Protection and Social Assistance Agency.
