The project proposal provides for the development of the following sites in the central part of Karlovo: Vodopad Street, Todor Kableshkov Str., Todor and Ana Pulevi Str., Alexander Stamboliiski Str., Druzhba Str., Han Asparuh Str., Interblock Space North of Osvobojdenie Blvd. at 20 and 22 Druzhba Str., bl. Nos 39 and 37 of Osbobojdenie Blvd. and Nos 35 and 37 at “Meden dol” Str., Pre-block green spaces on “Al. Stamboliiski” Str./No 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31, 33, 35, 37, 41, 43, 45, 47, 54, 64, 62/, Vassil Levski Str. It is envisaged that the street flooring of these sites will be renovated, the green space on the above sites will be created and restored, conditions for access of disadvantaged people to the central part of the city, etc. The project also provides for construction and author’s supervision activities, activities to promote the contribution of the OPRD to its implementation and independent financial audit of the implementation. The implementation of the project will lead to a significant improvement in the state of the urban environment in Karlovo and will support the implementation of the objectives set out in the municipal development plan and in the municipality’s IHLG. Through the implementation of the envisaged measures, more than 21 000 city citizens will have access to an improved urban environment and improve their quality of life. The project will also increase the tourist potential of the city, as tourists visiting the city will also benefit from the improved urban environment. Through the implementation of the planned interconnected activities, ensuring the synergy effect, there will be a lasting improvement of accessibility, security, environmental conditions and quality of life in Karlovo.
