The project proposal provides for modernisation of 4 schools and 6 kindergartens and nurseries in Karlovo municipality. The following sites will be modernised: High school "Vasil Levski", Primary School "Sv. St. John’s Day. Cyril and Methodius, High School “Hristo Prodanov”, Primary School “Raino Popovich”, “First June” Center, “Gina Kuncheva” Center, “Vasil Levski” Kindergarten, “Sunce” Center, “Zornitsa” Kindergarten, Anna Kozinarova Center in the village of Rosino. The main activities in the project are related to the construction or restoration of sports and playgrounds in the yards of educational establishments. The reconstruction of the existing corps, enlarged the existing gymnasium, through restructuring of the existing premises into auxiliary ones and the construction of new premises giving opportunities for practicing many sports and renovated the yard is planned to be carried out at Vasil Levski Secondary School. The swimming pool at Hristo Prodanov High School will be restored and the energy efficiency of the building in which it is situated will be improved. It is envisaged to expand the material base of “Anna Kosinarova” in Rozino village with a view to creating two new children’s groups to cover all children in the settlement. For the remaining intervention sites, there is provision for improvement of the adjacent yards and playgrounds. The project provides for construction and author’s supervision activities, activities to promote the contribution of the OPRD to its implementation and independent financial audit of the implementation. After the implementation of the project, better conditions for training for 3877 children in Karlovo municipality will be created, of which 644 representatives of marginalised groups will be created.
