The project is a joint initiative of 24 months of the Municipality of Karlovo, the primary schools in the municipality, Center Amalipe and the “Romas of the Village” Foundation, Rozino It aims to create a comprehensive model for the implementation of municipal policy for educational integration in Karlovska Municipality, which includes the main stakeholders (schools, parent community, municipal administration) and combines activities at school, inter-school and municipal level, aiming to achieve: full coverage of those subject to compulsory education, introduction of intercultural education, improvement of the quality of education in schools, promotion of education in ethnically mixed environments, support for secondary education and — involvement of Roma parents.The project provides not only for joint activities between schools with a predominant number of Roma pupils and those in which they are a minority (which will support the acceptance of the two groups from each other, as well as the process of natural desegregation in secondary education), but also activities ensuring a smooth transition between primary and secondary education, including additional motivation for education. The project also aims to create a comprehensive municipal policy that will stop the processes of secondary segregation and lead to real desegregation and educational integration. Moreover, thanks to the planned activities to change public attitudes, information activities, etc., the project will also lead to a complete change of attitudes among the majority, which inevitably facilitates and promotes educational integration. He builds on the experience that some of the schools in the municipality have already managed to gain in terms of the educational integration of Roma students, uses the experience and collected good practices from all over the country through the network of schools of Center Amalipe and helps the other schools involved also to develop their potential and opportunities in this direction.
