The project complies with the requirements set out in this direct grant award procedure. The essence of the project is the prevention of social exclusion, the reduction of child poverty through investments in early childhood development and the continuation of the services provided under the Social Inclusion Project (funded by Loan 7612BG by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in the period 2008-2015). Project “Providing integrated social services for children and parents in the Municipality of Knezha” provides integrated social services to support children in early childhood and their families to improve access to health care, formation of parental skills, improving the family environment, increasing the school readiness of children for inclusion in the education system, as well as preventing the placement of children in specialised institutions. For the period of implementation of the project — 53 months, 310 children from the target groups will be covered, as well as a total of 360 parents.The services that Knezha Municipality will provide under this project are in accordance with the Guidelines for Application as follows:- Providing psychological support and counselling to future and present parents for the formation and development of parental skills, Family counseling and support and individual and group work with children and parents, including with children and parents who are not from vulnerable groups in order to attend kindergarten;- Support for providing health counselling and disease prevention activities;- Additional pedagogical preparation to increase the school readiness of children for equal start in school.
