Knezha Municipality is located in Northwestern Bulgaria, a region characterised by high unemployment and demographic crisis. In addition to the state and administrative role, the municipality should play a social role, which it will manifest through the creation of a social enterprise. Unemployment in the region, in particular youth and that of people over 50 years old, is of high value and tends to increase, as most people have inapplicable or low qualifications and lack specific professional experience.With the implementation of the project, Knezha Municipality aims to create a social enterprise — a tailoring workshop that reflects the social role and concerns of the municipality, providing new services with social returns, employing new employees, qualified them and equipping their jobs with high-tech equipment, and on the other hand to help overcome high levels of unemployment and easier integration into the labour market. The main target group of the project will create new jobs in the social and social situation. Thus, the municipality will increase its social role in the community, set an example of entrepreneurship and stimulate the local economy in an innovative way for Bulgaria — through the creation of a social enterprise. The municipality of Knezha will reduce poverty in the region and promote social inclusion, as it will facilitate access to employment and support the social inclusion of vulnerable groups by creating the right conditions for their professional integration into the social economy.
