The implementation of the project will satisfy four groups of identified needs of the municipality of Krivodol — prevention of biodegradable municipal waste, separate collection of BRBO, carrying out preparation for re-use and recycling of waste, raising awareness and public self-awareness for compliance with the household waste management hierarchy.The target groups are employees of the municipal administration, students and teachers from all schools and households in the municipality of Krivodol. Main activities and expected results are: Activity 2 “Implementation of the Demonstration Project”Action 2.1. Composting activities — Public composting with result: limit the amount of biodegradable waste landfilled — Domestic composting with result: introduction of waste prevention measures — Composting on-site in schools and kindergartens with a result: introduction of waste prevention measures Sub-Action 2.2. Separate collection of biodegradable household wastePutting brown vessels in public places in 15 settlements in the municipality of Krivodol with the result: separation of biodegradable waste from the total amount of mixed household waste, which will allow its composting on the territory of the municipality of Krivodol; limit the amount of biodegradable municipal waste landfilledSub-activity 2.3. Equipment of Demonstration Centre for Sustainable Waste Management Conduct of creative workshops, information days, competitions and other campaigns with result: activities to prepare for re-use of waste, increase public awareness of compliance with the three highest levels of the municipal waste management hierarchy Activity 3 Campania will be organised and conducted to promote the results, which will contribute to increasing the public awareness of compliance with the three highest levels of the municipal waste management hierarchy.
