In the municipality of Krumovgrad there are a number of problems in education, especially among children from ethnic minorities. The causes of most problems are accumulating already in early childhood and in order to overcome them, it is necessary to pay great attention to the education in kindergartens and in the preparatory groups in municipal schools, focusing on the mastery of Bulgarian language, socialisation, intercultural education and non-formal communication. Project “Support for support of pre-school education in Krumovgrad Municipality” aims to support children from ethnic minorities in early childhood from 3 to 6 years for future full inclusion in the educational and social life through: additional training in Bulgarian; psychological support for easy inclusion; psychological trainings for developing social skills and willingness to share; setting up interest clubs to develop skills and improve communication between peers from different communities; active and full involvement of parents in the process of education and integration of children. In kindergartens and preparatory groups of municipal schools a total of 29 groups will be formed for additional Bulgarian language training. Within the project, a psychologist will be hired to work with the children. In seven kindergartens, 18 interest clubs will be formed. For better socialisation of children will be held four two-day psychological training sessions on “I express myself” and “Are we tolerant to ourselves and others?”. The project relies on active and full involvement of parents in the process of education, development, tolerance, integration and socialisation of children. For this purpose, “Circle Tables”, external seminars, conference and others will be held.
