The project aims to improve the energy efficiency of the administrative building of the district management — Krumovgrad. The energy efficiency measures in the intervention building will be implemented on the basis of an energy efficiency audit accompanied by a valid energy performance certificate for the building and an audit to establish the technical characteristics of the building with a technical passport. At the stage of implementation of the project proposal, an investment project will be prepared in accordance with the Spatial Planning Act and Ordinance 4 of 2001 on the scope and content of investment projects. The investment project will include all mandatory energy saving measures prescribed in the energy efficiency audit, including measures for the utilisation of renewable energy sources and all mandatory measures prescribed in the technical audit. Energy renovation activities will prolong the life of the building, reduce maintenance costs and encourage people to stay in small settlements. Their implementation will increase the energy efficiency of the municipality building, reduce electricity costs, leading to the release of resources to be redirected to other activities. Improving the energy efficiency of the building is one of the main prerequisites for improving the quality of the services offered to the local population, reducing energy consumption and protecting the environment.
