Project Municipal Social Enterprise “Social support, construction and renovation activities — Krumovgrad” will facilitate access to employment and provide support for the social inclusion of vulnerable groups by creating appropriate conditions for their professional integration in the field of social economy. Lack of employment is one of the main causes of poverty and social exclusion in the municipality of Krumovgrad. This project will create an opportunity for training measures for acquiring skills of vulnerable social groups, acquiring real labour and professional skills on the labour market, overcoming their social exclusion and stimulating their competitiveness in a working environment. Overall, the social economy performs socially significant specific functions that cannot be covered or are insufficiently developed by the state and the market. The activities for the realisation of the project are tailored to the specifics of the social situation and to the identified needs of the people from the target groups on the territory of the municipality. The project will provide employment for 31 disadvantaged people in the labour market and other socially excluded persons. To this end, a social enterprise will be set up during the implementation of the project, to which a total of 31 persons will be appointed: 20 in the post of Domestic Assistant and 11 for the post of Assistant for Construction. A team of four specialists will be appointed to manage and operate the enterprise: head of social enterprise, social worker, accountant/stock manager and technical assistant-construction. Supporting social entrepreneurship in Krumovgrad municipality will help to combat poverty and social exclusion by increasing employment and living standards.
