The project proposal is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of a building of “Vasil Levski” Sofia University in Krumovgrad. Su “Vasil Levski” is located in two buildings, one building teaches children in the first to fourth grades, in the other building children from fifth to twelfth grade are taught, which is the subject of this project proposal. The building was built in 1977-1981. It is located in the eastern part of the property and has a sports playground, alleys, separate lawns. The energy efficiency measures in the school will be implemented on the basis of an energy efficiency audit accompanied by a valid energy performance certificate and an audit to establish the technical characteristics of the school with a technical passport. At the application stage, an “Investment Project” has been developed in the “Working Project” phase, in accordance with the ZUT and Ordinance 4 of 2001 on the scope and content of investment projects. The investment project includes all mandatory energy saving measures prescribed in the energy efficiency audit and all mandatory measures prescribed in the technical audit. Their implementation will increase the energy efficiency of the building, reduce electricity costs, releasing resources to be redirected to other activities and incentivise people to stay in small settlements. Improving the energy efficiency of the building is one of the main prerequisites for improving the quality of the educational services offered, reducing energy consumption and protecting the environment.
