The main objective of the project “Professional High School of Agriculture and Forestry in Kardzhali — an attractive educational center for young people” is to create conditions for the provision of vocational education in the field of agriculture and forestry, meeting the modern requirements in these fields. The specific objectives of the project are: — By renewing the building stock and providing professional equipment to improve the quality of the educational services provided at the Vocational High School of Agriculture and Forestry in the town of Kardzhali, which in turn improves the opportunities for professional realisation of the school’s graduates. — By modernising the educational process, increasing the attractiveness of the educational establishment for pupils from the region, thereby helping to reduce the rate of early leavers from education. The target group of the project is 129 students who are trained at the Professional High School of Agriculture and Forestry in Kardzhali. Indirect beneficiaries of the project are 22 teachers and support staff working in the school and over 200 parents of the students. The main activities of the project are related to the implementation of construction and installation works related to the introduction of energy efficiency measures and finishing works in the building of the educational establishment; supply of professional equipment necessary for quality educational process and implementation of construction and author’s supervision. The project also provides for activities for design, information and publicity, financial audit and project management. As a result of the implementation of the project, the building of the Professional High School will be modernised and the professional equipment needed to conduct a quality educational process will be delivered. The improved training conditions will make the educational establishment attractive to students from Kardzhali District and the nearby districts of Haskovo, Plovdiv and Smolyan.
